Using Sounds.com
How do I save and download sounds?
Each sound has a plus icon and a download icon. When logged in, the plus icon adds that sound to your library. The download icon instantly delivers that sound to your device.
How many sounds can I download?
You can download as many sounds as you need up to 1 GB per month. We are using this beta period to learn about usage patterns for downloading sounds, including when to put on the brakes to prevent abuse and/or digital hoarding. We understand that managing hundreds of thousands of samples is part of some workflows producers are used to. We would like to encourage a new approach of on-demand downloading with powerful search tools you couldn't get from a hard drive.
Why can't I download a whole release?
In practice, creators use individual sounds from many releases or sound packs in a given production. We designed Sounds.com with this in mind. Let our powerful search features help you find the specific, exact sounds needed for your projects.
On how many computers can I download my sounds?
You can download your sounds on any number of computers.
Which audio formats are supported?
All our loops and samples are provided as uncompressed WAV files.
Does Sounds.com integrate with my DAW?
Not yet, but we’re working on new tools that will bring an amazing search and discovery experience from the web to your music creation workflow.
What does the tilde (exclusive-symbol) represent?
This symbol represents loops and samples that are exclusive to Sounds.com.
When I download a WAV file, it opens in the wrong application. How do I fix this?
You have control over which application on your computer is delegated to open a given file type. You can change these file associations via the following methods:
